Our Story

Fog & Filament is a designer–maker duo based on the Oregon coast, creating sculptural lighting shaped by coastal fog, evergreen forests, and the quiet atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest. Our work blends two disciplines: advanced 3D design and fabrication on one side, and brand identity, visual storytelling, and packaging design on the other. Together, we build lighting that feels intentional, warm, and rooted in place.

We work primarily with plant-based bioplastics and premium wood-infused materials, using them to form organic silhouettes inspired by nature’s growth patterns and the shifting textures of the coast. Each lamp is crafted with longevity in mind—designed to bring comfort through the darker months and remain a lasting part of a home, not a disposable printed object.

Our studio is also shaped by our family story. One of us grew up in Oregon; the other came from Pennsylvania. Now, with two young children, we’re exploring this region together—its forests, its weather, its coastline—and channeling those landscapes into the pieces we create.

Fog & Filament is our shared practice as a couple and a design house duo: thoughtful materials, atmospheric forms, and lighting built to feel lived-in, warm, and enduring.
