Tendril Surge draws from the radiating structures of sea anemones—soft, branch-like forms pushing outward in all directions with a sense of quiet force. The surface is composed of rounded, stem-like tendrils that wrap the sphere in a dense, organic structure, creating depth, movement, and tension within the form. When illuminated, light gathers within and diffuses outward, while the tendrils remain darker, shaping contrast and casting subtle shadows that define the form.

Light Experience

Designed for atmosphere, not intensity.

Each lamp includes a curated low-lumen bulb, approximately 136 lumens, selected specifically to complement the form. The reduced brightness allows the structure itself to speak, preventing harsh hotspots and instead producing a soft, dimensional glow that moves through the folds.

Light gathers within the layered geometry and diffuses outward, creating a warm, enveloping presence that shifts subtly as you move around it.

The result is closer to firelight than overhead illumination, ambient, sculptural, and deeply warm.

Materials & Build

3D printed using high-quality PLA with a refined matte surface.

Each piece is formed through precision layering, allowing the folded structure to emerge gradually through controlled geometry and material thickness. The design balances strength and translucency, so light reveals the form from within rather than sitting on the surface.

Mounted on a weighted metal base for stability and balance, paired with a premium woven fabric cable for a clean, tactile finish.
